Our Diversity & Inclusion group organised the 'Nua Pride Party' on Saturday, the 24th of June 2023, to acknowledge and celebrate the diversity within our service, including our staff and individuals.
The Nua Pride Party took place at Abbey Blooms Botanical Gardens in Multyfarnham, running from 1 pm to 4 pm. Over 70 people from various parts of our service attended the event, which was a remarkable sight to behold. Everyone embraced the festive spirit, dressing up and enjoying themselves immensely.
The afternoon was filled with lively dancing as the DJ played an excellent selection of the latest and greatest tunes. Many individuals eagerly lined up for face painting, adding vibrant colours to their faces. Additionally, attendees of the Pride Party were treated to a complimentary BBQ feast featuring tasty burgers, hotdogs, chicken skewers, salads, pride muffins and refreshing cold soft drinks.
The venue was beautifully decorated with banners, bunting, and balloons, as shown on the right, all captured by our photographer. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Abbey Blooms Botanical Gardens team for their tremendous efforts in preparing and ensuring that the gardens were perfect and the venue was ready to welcome our guests. The event was an outstanding success, and we look forward to more celebrations of diversity and inclusion this year! #nuapride
