Hosting the Gormanston Residents Association in Abbey Blooms Botanical Gardens

Nua Healthcare Services was delighted to host delegates from the Gormanston Community Association along with some of their newest neighbours from Ukraine at Abbey Blooms Botanical Gardens.

On Friday, the 9th of June, Nua's CEO, Noel Dunne (pictured on the far right below), team members, and representatives from Multyfarnham's community warmly welcomed our VIP guests from Gormanston to Abbey Blooms. The purpose of the day was to introduce the Gormanston community representatives to Nua's pilot community inclusion initiative. We aimed to explain the concept and allow staff and patrons who have benefitted from the gardens to share their experiences - what this initiative means to them and how it has truly revitalised the community spirit in Multyfarnham village and the surrounding areas.

We hope the Gormanston Community Association will be inspired by the Abbey Blooms and Multyfarnham community inclusion story; indeed, we hope to develop ideas for a new community inclusion initiative in the Gormanston area. There is no doubt that, together, we can demonstrate, once again, that people of all backgrounds, with their unique abilities, can work alongside each other and promote acceptance and inclusion for the betterment of all our communities.

By the end of this beautiful day, filled with 'craic agus ceol', everyone left feeling inspired and undoubtedly dreaming of the possibilities ahead. Stay tuned for updates as we progress through our discussions.
